Luar da Fóia - Monchique, Portugal

Come here not only for the food but for the stunning view. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Atlantic in the distance. The food is exceptional although a bit pricy for Portuguese standards. Well worth the price though as everything on the menu is very well prepared and tasty. The Black pork leg and tomato salad are a must when you visit as well as the Tiger prawns, Black Pork Cheeks and finish off with one of their exceptional dessert's. Reservations are highly recommended especially if you are making the drive up to Monchique from the seaside.
